Part-Time Shop Associate
Location: YEWO Shop — Downtown Asheville, NC
Starting Pay: $20/hour
Schedule: Sundays, 12–5 PM
*Bonus if you're available to occasionally pick up additional shifts, especially around holidays or when teammates are away.

YEWO (pronounced yay-woh, meaning "thank you") is a thoughtfully curated lifestyle shop rooted in beautiful design, ethical craftsmanship, and intentional living.
Our in-house jewelry collection is designed and prototyped by us here in Asheville, then sustainably handcrafted by our artisan team in northern Malawi. Alongside our jewelry, we carry a carefully curated selection of ceramics, books, home goods, skincare, textiles, and meaningful gifts from local and global makers.
We believe the best retail experiences are built on genuine connection, thoughtful storytelling, and beautiful products with purpose— we're looking for someone to join our small, but mighty team, who shares this vision.
Who You Are
- Warm, welcoming, and genuinely enjoys connecting with people
- Passionate about thoughtful design, craftsmanship, and intentional living
- Excited by beautifully curated retail spaces
- Organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable multitasking
- Self-motivated with a positive, can-do attitude
- Comfortable on your feet throughout your shift
- Familiar with Shopify and Google Workspace (or eager to learn)
- Able to lift up to 25 lbs
- Retail or customer service experience preferred
What You’ll Do
- Welcome customers into the store and assist them in finding the right product
- Share the stories behind our products, makers, and mission
- Process sales, answer questions, gift wrap purchases, and make thoughtful recommendations
- Open and close the shop
- Restock inventory and maintain beautiful displays that invite customer interaction
- Keep the shop clean, organized, and inviting
- Share customer feedback and collaborate with our small team
